HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF: Archinect and AIGA also have some great charitable links and other creative means of support.

HELPING OUT LOCALLY: Evacuees at the Ramada Inn Southfield! [from listd.net]

About 200 evacuees at the Ramada Inn in Southfield ( 9 mile and Lodge Fwy) from New Orleans. They arrived here on Sunday. The hotel manager indicates they are in need of the following:
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Soap
- Feminine Products
- Other toiletries
- Volunteers: babysitters, doctors, social workers, tutors etc.
- Baby items desperately: cribs, car seats, diapers, baby wipes etc.
- School supplies: pens, pencils, folders, binders
- Individually wrapped snacks: peanut butter crackers, granola bars, poptarts...
- Women's and Men's underwear & socks

There will also be a Red Cross donation bucket ouside the door for victims of Hurricane Katrina, please cough up a few bucks if you can.
