The new Terence Fixmer record out on Gigolo - Silence Control B, has to be one of my favorites so far this year. I haven't heard part A yet, but I have high hopes. Come on out tonight and hear me play far too much of it. ;)

Looking forward to loud music and strong cocktails tonight, this has been one hell of a doodooriffic week.

Aside from the aforementioned thwaps in the noggin with said soft, brown and voraciously stinky entity, there have been some contrasting highlights, like great dinners at two nearaby Ferndale locations - Josephine which not only has amazing crepes, but a large display of Ron Zakrin's (a.ka. Goudron) paintings, Via Nove with a great springtime patio, and a really refreshing visit to a friend's studio last night in a converted firehouse in southwest Detroit.
