This is so wrong. In Detroit's Eastern Market, the kitchy, psychedelic (and downright acidtrip creepy) murals of animals made up of fruits and vegetables are being removed with the planned renovations to all sheds starting August 1. Although restoring the natural brick to it's early 1900's glory is an admirable idea, these paintings have symbolized the market for years and I'm pissed they're coming down. All in the name of progress and higher rents for the Market! Feh.
