SPY(the brainchild of designer, Sarah Vidosh) is a new specialty shop opening up in the heart of downtown Detroit, scheduled for an October 2006 gala opening party. SPY will have available a full line of Cyberoptix TieLab neckties as well as a variety of hand-made and artist-designed items, providing it's customers with exciting new options from Detroit's fashion, design, and fine art communities. Additionally, SPY will offer select gift and houseware items that will be ordered from artisans around the US and internationally.Bi-monthly, SPY will present a fashion show, artists' reception and gallery opening. In addition to fashion, SPY will also carry records from acclaimed labels such as Interdimensional Transmissions, Low Res and Submerge.
SPY will debut this year at the Dally in the Alley, Forest and Hancock St. and Second Ave. near Wayne State campus. The Dally happens Saturday, September 9, 2006, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Rain Date: Sunday, Sept. 10) and is and ecclectic street fair with art, music, food and more. Probably the best fair Detroit has to offer all year! SPY will have a table both in front of the store (very close the The Dally proper) and with the rest of the Dally 'wares.
