new work

here is a quick sneak preview of some of the new things that will be launched this month: stenciled rubber on butyl rubber - this is not spray paint and not liquid latex - this stuff is on there for good. :) of course now there are sopping rubbery stencils from one end of my studio to the other, squares of rubber on every flat surface... so much for having a "residence" for a few weeks. ;) these will appear on bags, capri pants, skirts, ties and reclaimed vintage shirts among others.

now i just want to do huge paintings like this and stitch all the rubber together and and and and...probably should attempt to sleep as a most killer weekend awaits and i have some civic duties to attend to in the early morning. i got completely lost in my intent to make one panel to sew on something new and i got completely off track and made about 10 instead, and of course, they're not sewn onto a thing. ;) oops.
