restraint and good judgment are certainly not my forte, nor are they words typically even in my repertoire, but thankfully i do have DAMN good intuition and that has probably been the one single thing keeping me alive thus far. ;)

and so ends the self-imposed moratorium on summer exploring.
it was an accidental find, i swear! it isn't so often one finds charred blues clubs and the hulk of an old factory with a two story gaping hole in the side when the initial mission was to just wander around by the river and see if there was anything interesting. i ran out of red spray rubber and had this sudden urge to go out shooting, which was odd considering that the light outside was downright lame and uninteresting (but i still had to...) - dull grey, blah. well, to start out with anyway. about 20 minutes into my walk, the sky ended up on fire with an amazing sunset. intuition and i were doing well. ;)

and more on intuition - next i went inside the Globe Trading Co. building (built in 1892), which was like this cathedral of an abandoned factory and for the first time ever on an exploring mission i felt VERY eerily not alone. initially i attributed to new building jitters and being in there by myself, but i know better than that.. about five seconds later i hear this water falling sound and i realize it is a bum pissing all the way from the upper level. EW. (the link speaks about the Globe's "tenant." anyway, plenty of pictures were already taken, i high-tailed it out (not wanting to get pissed on) plus the mosquitos were feasting on me, and i don't know what nasty people they feasted on first. EW again.
