Inhabitat/ Eco-Boudoir

What an awesome blog! Inhabitat - an online source to innovations in technology, design practices and materials that will push architecture in interior design towards a smarter and more sustainable future.

One of the products I found on there is from Eco-Boudoir, Luxury with a Conscience. Finally a company/designers that are using environmentally responsible ways of making decadant products. Fur and leather reclaimed from the food industry. !!! What a concept! It is such a shame that this is so seldom done, both the meat industries and fashion industries are incredibly wasteful, by working together each of their individual products are a bit easier to deal with ethically.

Usually all that orgainc-cotton, fair-trade this or that is only marketed to the unwashed masses of the uber-hippie contingent. Sorry, but rock on for reusing the burlap sack...but how about make something that doesn't look like a burlap sack anymore?

Well. I was satisfied with the luxurious cushions and printed fabrics...very satisfied actually. I just dug a bit deeper into the site and found this tidbit of glorious excess: ASPHIXIATE. silk boudoir bondage ties. ultimate sexy luxury. Untie and unfold a luxurious piece of the softest buttery leather as part of a ceremonial performance.
