Harald and Ford

The only thing more disappointing than acquiring some version of Plague (after being Plague-Free all winter), is the hideous vomit that just came from Robert Geller's new women's line, Harald. For someone who trained under Marc Jacobs and is a current partner in Cloak (which is TEH AWESOME for the boys) to put out this inexcusable utter crap for Spring makes me want to cry. Obviously the brains behind Cloak is all the grey matter of Alexandre Plokhov, and Spring collections in general blow. Why must all you designers make us princesses of Golf Frump? Not OK! And now this article dubs him (or his collection?) a Dark Knight - baffling! There is nothing dark or knight about white and purple knee-length a-line skirts, rounded toe flat ballet slippers and glorified golf shirts. Ick¹⁰. To Harald's credit, Fall '06 looks ok - not spectacular...but credit where credit is due.

Anyway. Even though not exactly feeling 100%, we toured the Henry Ford Estate today which was quite an interesting little Sunday afternoon adventure. We were graced with the strangest tour guide who seems to have been styled by Lynch & Sons - very informative lady, but I'm not convinced she was alive! ;) Later after self-medicating with hot peppers and garlic sauce (keeps rhinovirus AND vampires away) we drove around the perimeter of the Rouge Steel Complex - quite menacing and apparently blows up every so often.
